CVT Prepaid Solutions

in prepaid technology. CVT is introducing a Point-of-Sale
Activation (POSA) solution to enhance our already extensive
technology platform. With the POSA product suite CVT
brings innovation, convenience and security to the prepaid
marketplace - ASP.NET C#.NET Webservices. In addition to our popular phone cards,
CVT now offers a set of products that will revolutionize
the way you think about prepaid wireless services, prepaid
Internet access, prepaid utility payment, and prepaid
debit/credit cards.
What is POSA?
POSA stands for "Point-of-Sale Activation".
It means that familiar prepaid products such as calling
cards and wireless replenishment cards sit inactive
and valueless on store shelves until a cashier activates
them by swiping them through a terminal.
How does POSA work?
Point-of-Sale Activation transaction consists of three
simple and straightforward steps:
- A customer selects a POSA product and brings it
to the cash register.
- After accepting payment, the cashier swipes the
product through a terminal thus sending the activation
request to CVT.
- CVT activates the product and it is immediately
ready to use.
What Point-of-Sale Activation products will
CVT offer?
CVT offers prepaid phone cards, wireless services,
gift/reward cards and debit/credit cards.
How do retailers and customers check their
product balance or account activity?
An interactive section of this web site is
up and running using CVT Web Services, standard HTTP GET POST or SOAP protocols. Customers can use it to check the balance
of their products, add balance, recharge, and retailers use it to check
their account activity, activate and deactivete cards.
How will POSA affect you?
Instead of waiting for a clerk to hand over prepaid
products locked in a case or kept behind the counter,
CVT's POSA products sit on a store's shelves where you
can reach them yourself. No waiting. No hassle. Just
select the product you want and pay for it along with
all your other purchases at the cash register. It is
that simple.
Because each card is not activated until the cashier
swipes it through a terminal, you are protected from
scams and fraud such as PIN number theft, or outright
card theft. When your POSA product is activated at the
cash register, you can be reassured that it is current,
valid and ready to use.
